Junko Fukabori

Born in Tokyo, Junko Fukabori began violin lessons with her mother at the age of four. After studying in Tokyo, she continued her training at the University of Music and Theatre Leipzig with Mariana Sîrbu and in Berlin with Tomasz Tomaszewski.

She performs in Japan and Europe as a chamber musician and with various chamber orchestras. She has received awards at the Altländer Musikpreis both as a soloist and in chamber ensembles.

Alongside her concert work, she has taught in Japan since 2004 and in Berlin since 2011. In the Rodur Trio Berlin, she performs with cellist Louise von Schweinitz and pianist Maria-Magdalena Pitu-Jokisch.
