Beatrice Wehner-Schaller

Beatrice Wehner-Schaller was born in Bucharest and began playing piano at six. After attending a specialist music school in Bucharest, she moved to Berlin in 1996, studying first at Berlin University of the Arts and then with Georg Sava at the Hanns Eisler School of Music.

Already a prizewinner in national and international competitions in Romania, she performs solo programmes and chamber music, and collaborates with artists from different disciplines.

She has a particular interest in music by women composers. This led her to establish the concert series Hommage an Komponistinnen and to collaborate with the Association Mel Bonis in Paris. At Berliner Schlosskonzerte, she presents piano recitals and chamber music programmes in a variety of ensembles.
